Limited Return and Limited Warranty Policies, Shipping Terms and Conditions

Limited Guarantee of Satisfaction for Products Made or Branded by THMS

The Hobbyist Machine Shop (THMS) wants you to be satisfied with the products manufactured or branded by THMS. You may take ~14 days to examine products identified as THMS brand. If not satisfied for any reason after inspection (not use), inform THMS via email. You will be authorized to return the product postage/shipping prepaid to THMS. When received, THMS will refund the product purchase price less the original shipping cost. The returned product must be received unused, undamaged and suitable for re-sale.

No General Statement of THMS Full or Limited Warranty

There is no general statement of full warranty or limited warranty by THMS for any product made or sold by THMS. There is no general statement of merchantability or suitability of purpose stated or implied. There is no implied full warranty or limited warranty. This document is not an implied warranty statement.

Any specific THMS Full or Limited Warranty statement (if available) will be printed and included with the specific product. A link to any such Full or Limited Warranty statement by THMS will be provided by a clearly identified link from the display advertisement and available for reading prior to purchase.

Understanding your Rights

U.S. Consumer Warranty Laws are dictated by the federal (Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) and is very specific. However, your rights may vary from state to state. There is no international consumer warranty law. Offering a Consumer Warranty in the USA is not a requirement by law. Consumer products are therefore not required to have warranties, but if one is given, it must comply with the Magnuson-Moss Act

Other Product Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty

Products offered in THMS but manufactured by other than THMS may be covered by the full or limited warranty the manufacturer or wholesaler provides. That information will generally be included by the manufacturer with the product.

THMS will not store another manufacturer’s consumer warranty statement on site as all such documents may be subject to change. THMS has no automatic way to stay current but THMS will try to provide a link to any manufacturer’s statement online if one exists. Please inform us of any missing or broken links.

A full or limited warranty is between the end customer and the manufacturer and is not handled by or through THMS. No product returns to THMS without prior authorization. Most returns are to the manufacturer. THMS will provide sales or shipping dates if required to establish the limited warranty period.

Shipping Terms and Conditions

All packages shipped from THMS have a signature as default when it can be included in the class of shipment. Insurance is included whenever possible and is part of the shipping cost.

All handling (mostly insurance) is estimated and averaged with USPS shipping weight calculations, so package shipping cost labeling may not match invoice pricing. No adjustments or refunds for differences.

Be aware that the insurance covers loss and damages only while in shipment. It does not cover lost or stolen shipments after delivery.

Some products are listed in the store as including insurance and shipping. There is no selection by the customer on method of shipment. No options or additional cost will be available or included at time of checkout.

Since almost all items require signature for delivery, this will require someone available to receive the delivery. If the package cannot be received, the package may be held at the shipper’s location for a period of time for customer pickup. Most packages will then be returned to THMS by the shipper if undeliverable.

The customer is responsible for accurate and complete shipping addressing.

The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. The cost of shipping BOTH ways will not be refunded if shipment is refused, unclaimed or undeliverable. Contact THMS for possible partial refund of product cost. Note some return shipping may exceed the cost of the item. In this case no refund will be available.
